Reveal
I’m a Creative Director and Designer based in New York, and have spent the last thirteen years helping to bring brands to life through strategic design.
I don’t like fluff or clutter; I aim to make things that resonate with people using an executional style which is honest and direct. In a digital context that means working to overcome the default distance, half-life, and impersonal nature of interactions, in order to create things that are able to sit comfortably in their digital skin whilst still being able to connect deeply with their audience. The result is something that often leans minimal in appearance, but is filled with nuance and care in all the right places.

I applied creative UX and UI techniques to comply with Apple store guidelines while also keeping the app interesting and engaging for the younger generation. However, despite our best efforts, the project was eventually abandoned to pursue other plans. Nevertheless, Reveal remains a testament to the power of technology to bring people together, even in the most challenging of circumstances.

The short-lived Reveal stands as a testament to the power of marrying the relevant with the innovative to create impactful digital experiences.
Born out of the need for connection during the pandemic, Reveal aims to make online interactions safer and more enjoyable through the use of cutting-edge technologies such as 3D AR masks. With a focus on fostering genuine human connection, Reveal was designed to combat profanity and nudity in video chats.

As a co-founder, I played a critical role in bringing this app to life, overseeing all non-code related activities, from design to launch and growth. I approached the project with a philosophy of using technology to solve real problems, especially during a time when everyone was feeling lonely and isolated under lockdown.
